The Concept of Root Feeding:

  • Studies have proven that the root zone is where most nutrients are absorbed
  • Concept: Inject water, nutrients, insecticide directly to roots of plants, trees, and shrubs
    • By-passes many elements --dirt, grass, weeds-- that keep plants from being nourished
    • Promotes deep root growth / prevents shallow roots
      • Increases sturdiness of plants
    • Idea has been around for decades, but few Do-It-Yourself products have been made

Comparison Between Our Root Feeder & Other Watering Tools:

  • Sprinklers, sprayer nozzles, and drip hoses
    • Highly inefficient - only dampen top 2 inches of soil
    • Grow More Root Feeder has a 14" probe:
      • Precise location and depth are decided by user
  • Tree spikes
    • Very costly in long run
    • Unpredictable and uneven in their time release
    • Dangerous if discovered by small child or pet
    • Grow More Root Feeder is efficient, precise, and environmentally safe
  • Ross Root Feeder -- (the only competitor in the Do-It-Yourself Root Feeder Market)
    • Outdated design
    • Low-quality parts
    • Small and difficult to use
    • Only makes use of Ross Root Feeder refills
    • Grow More Root Feeder is an all-around better tool:

Basic Drought Information:

  • Water conservation is a necessity
  • Evaporation can occur almost instantly
  • Dry, hard soil can prevent water from getting to the roots
  • Water on leaves causes intensified sun damage
  • Root feeding solves all of these problems by injecting water/nutrients up to a foot under the surface
    • Direct to the roots, where plants, flowers, and trees can actually use it.

Notes and Citations for Drought Press Release:

The statistics in the second paragraph come from two sources. Each is explained below:

  • "Homeowners spend roughly 36 billion dollars per year in the lawn and garden market."
      • The last section -- "Total Lawn and Garden Retail Sales Decline"
        • "Over the past five years (2000-2005), total lawn and garden retail sales have
ranged from a low of $33.404 billion in 2000 to a high of $39.635 billion in 2002
          and averaged $36.885 billion."

  • "Over 13.3 billion of that is spent directly on the care of living plants and trees..."
    • Harris Interactive. National Gardening Survey 2001. Vermont: The National Gardening Association, Inc., 2002.
      • P. 6-8 explain the Lawn & Garden Market Segments that are used to calculate the figures
for the U.S. Household Lawn & Garden Retail Sale (p. 13).
        • We found the percentages of the market segments that have nothing to do with
the direct care of living plants (lawn care, indoor houseplants, vegetable garden,
landscaping, and water gardening) and subtracted their sum from 100%.
          • The remaining +37% of the retail market represents the amount spent on
the direct care of living plants. 37% of 36 billion is 13.3 billion.

The quotes from Dennis Stephens and Rebecca Mason come from their testimonial letters,
which can be found on our Testimonial Page.
